Amara walked down the hallway, staying close to the inner wall. She had brief combat training, and she was trying to remember it all now. When she decided that the hallway was clear, she headed down. To her right was a short hallway with a door at the end. She considered trying it for a moment, but she was unarmed, and Arcade wouldn’t put the exit so close to her. It would be too anti-climactic. Besides, she wanted her strap and she wanted at least one weapon with her. After all, who knew what lay on the other side of the exit?
After deciding that she could come back to explore that door later, she headed down the hallway and took a left, which eventually led her into a sort of spiral. Treading cautiously, she found a small white box wrapped up in a red ribbon. After checking to make sure it wasn’t dangerous, she opened the box and found a small sparse first aid kit inside. She checked the contents and took the kit, which had a small bag with it. She slung it over her back and headed back out from that hallway. As she headed to the hallway she’d just come from, she saw a small green package with red ribbon tied up down the way from her. She checked that nobody was around and did a similar check of the box in front of her before opening it.
It was Jackson’s gun, complete with a box of twenty bullets. She loaded the gun and put the remaining ammo in her bag before heading out into the corridor again, remaining cautious as she was before. She took a left into the hallway, checking behind her to make sure the coast was clear before she advanced.
